Flying Star is the outsider of the party in the opening race on the card at Chelmsford on Thursday, but she could have an each-way chance.

The John Berry runner is yet to win on six starts under rules, with all of her previous efforts coming on the turf.

She is a lightly raced contender, and was last seen at the end of August when finishing six lengths behind Dion Baker over seven furlongs at York. Makes her all-weather debut today, and could go well at a big price.

Magic Fluke is the runner from the John Jenkins yard in the 18:30 at Chelmsford today.

The four-year-old has won once from 14 attempts on the all-weather, and has been producing some fair efforts at Southwell on his last two attempts. The latest of those saw him finish third of eleven over five furlongs.

Back up in trip, and one worth considering despite a tough draw today.

Urban Sprawl represents the Charlie Johnston yard in the 20:00 at Chelmsford on Thursday.

The five-year-old has been in good form over a mile on his last two attempts, including on his last start when finishing just over a length behind Dembe.

Has leading claims on the strength of that form if able to stay this increased trip at Chelmsford.

Matt Crawley sends Artificer to Chelmsford today. The four-year-old filly is yet to win in seven starts under rules, but her best efforts have come on the all-weather.

Is yet to showcase her best form in handicaps, including when last seen over seven furlongs at Wolves.

However, she posted a career-best effort when fifth over course and distance in December, and a repeat effort gives her each-way claims today.
