George's Lad could get us off to a winning start at Doncaster on Friday. The Emma Lavelle team is flying at present, winning at a 25% rate over the last two weeks.

Harry Cobden is booked to take the ride on the five-year-old, who has looked progressive on his last two starts over hurdles.

The step up in trip should be a major positive after finishing a good second behind Vanderpoel over two miles at Huntingdon at the start of the month. More to come.

Meetmebythesea should take an awful lot of beating in the 14:03 at Doncaster today for the Ben Pauling yard.

The five-year-old has won on both of his two starts under rules. The latest of those came at Ludlow over two miles when holding off The Kemble Brewery to win by two lengths.

Open to further progress today, and is clear of this field on all available form lines.

Velasco looks an interesting each-way chance for the Susan Corbett yard in the 14:38 at Doncaster today.

The nine-year-old has won four from 23 starts over hurdles, and he will be making his first start since wind surgery on Friday. He was last seen finishing fourth of seven over three miles at Doncaster in December.

But, there is form in the book to suggest that he could bounce back, as he won three times in the mud between February and April. Among those was a course and distance win in March.
