Kemari is the favourite for the event and looks to be a very progressive three year old son of Dubawi, that has to face questions dropping back in trip.

The 400,000gns purchase has been seen three times to date, finishing a good second on debut behind the smart Movin Time, but since then has gone unbeaten.

The colt went to Yarmouth over 1m3 1/2f and bolted up by six lengths ahead of some nice horses that have gone on to frank the form.

Appleby believed he was a horse with bundles of stamina and last time out was stepped up in trip again for the Group Two Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot and he powered clear in the final strides to take the race.

He is a proven stayer that is on a massive upward curve, but coming back down to 1m4f might be a slight issue.

A horse that has gone under the radar in this event and looks the value on paper is the Aidan O'Brien trained Sir Lucan, who's season seems to be coming to the boiling point and this race offers him a huge opportunity to show his credentials.

Sir Lucan started his term in the Group Three race that featured Yibir at Sandown but only managed a remote eighth of 10 runners.

The trip of 10 furlongs looking far too sharp for him on reflection, moving up in trip brought out the best in him and he managed to overhaul Wordsworth at Navan in a Listed event over 1m5f

Having not been seen since May he returned at Goodwood in the Group Three Gordon Stakes when finishing 1/2 a length second to Ottoman Emperor for Johnny Murtagh.

He looked the winner 2f out and it was a surprise to not see him take the race, but he now has the added addition of cheekpieces which could make all the difference on Wednesday.

Seems to have been saved for an Autumn campaign and over staying trips this term he has been nothing short of progressive.

Big player and he wouldn't mind any rain if it came.

The three year old has only been seen four times during his career, finishing fifth in a good Novice Stakes at Kempton and then on seasonal debut this term at Nottingham he won a decent Maiden Stakes over 1m2f.

The step up in trip in the Derby Trial brought big improvement out of the horse seeing him score again, this time on soft ground seeing off the Derby and King George winner Adayar.

Third Realm was last seen in the Derby finishing fifth behind the likes if Adayar and Hurricane Lane who have franked the form in a big way.

He has been given a decent break from that race and then sent to Goodwood last time out in the Group Three Gordon Richard Stakes finishing a close up third.

He does have to reverse the form with Sir Luca, but he will be fitter for the outing and is not ruled out.

The three year old has only been seen three times to date, but was one of the most remembered winners for O'Brien on his debut last season, when landing a maiden event over a mile at The Curragh.

High Definition was then sent into the Group Two Beresford Stakes, a race O'Brien has won 11 of the last 12 years with the likes of Capri, Japan and Saxon Warrior.

The colt was sent off as the favourite for the event and when going for home looked in big trouble being last of the pack, but he put in a superb final few furlongs to get up near the finish

Having messed around slightly as to where he would start off his campaign, he made his seasonal debut in the Group Two Dante Stakes at York when a good third behind Hurricane Lane and Megallan, who have both franked the form in a big way.

Skipping the Epsom Derby, he stayed in Ireland for the Irish Derby last time out and he ran no sort of race only beating one home.

He needs to bounce back in a big way for this event and has it all to do in this classy field.

He managed to win both of his last two starts as a two year old and made his seasonal comeback in Group 3 company at Sandown.

He ran really well to be third behind Alenquer and Adayar, with the latter going on to complete the Derby and King George double.

He struggled to kick on from that however, despite dropping in class he kept finding his rivals too good and would fold quite tamely at the business end of the race.

A gelding operation looked to have fixed whatever issue he was having and he bounced back with a dominant display over 13 furlongs at Newmarket to win a good Group three.

Back to form he was pitched into the Group Three Gordon Stakes and he was outclassed behind many of these rivals and on that run is opposable.

He won a maiden as a two year old before going on to be third in the Vintage Stakes in his last run as a juvenile at Goodwood.

Coming back after a 259 day break at Newmarket in mid April, the trip of 9 furlongs looked far too sharp and he was outpaced by his rivals to come home in 4th.

Moved up in trip for his next run in the Chester Vase Stakes, Tom Marquand gave him a peach of a ride to secure Group Three success with relative ease. Cut in the ground was no issue and he loved going up to 12.5 furlongs.

Winning a Derby trial, he rightfully went for the Classic at Epsom but found the race far too hot and wilted back into 8th of 11 entrants.

Last time out he was seen finishing fourth behind Third Realm and Sir Lucan in the Gordon Richards Stakes and he will need to reverse that form to go close here.

The three year old has been seen five times to date finishing seventh of 17 in a Maiden at The Curragh behind stablemates Arturo Toscanini and Sir Lamorak as a juvenile.

This term he stepped up to 12f for his seasonal debut at Leopardstown and was a good staying winner of a decent maiden and then backed that up next time out over the same C&D when a narrow second to Fernando Vichi in a Listed event.

He was taken to Royal Ascot with a live chance in the Group Two King Edward VII Stakes, but the heavy ground scuppered his chances and he finished a tame fourth.

Last time out he gave a much better performance again on soft ground finishing fourth of 12 in the Group One Grand Prix De Paris and that improved run gives him a slim chance.

The final of the runner of the race is the Ralph Beckett trained Scope who is one of the most inexperienced runners in the field and has it all to prove.

The son of Teofilo landed his first start as a juvenile in October at Newbury on heavy ground beating the Derby second Mojo Star.

On his first start this term he was a good second behind the talented Al Waqidi in a Novice Stakes over 1m2f at Newmarket.

He was last seen finishing third in the Listed Derby Trial at Lingfield behind Third Realm and Adayar and having been a long way behind the front two he has it all to do.

Needs to give career best.
