The six-year-old for Dan Skelton is clear on official ratings, and Harry Skelton is booked to take the ride. Royal Infantry has won two from two over hurdles, and was a listed bumper winner last season.

He was last seen in early December, dominating the field over course and distance to beat Crest Of Fortune by an extending eight lengths.

Royale Pagaille has obvious claims in the Peter Marsh Chase, but the fact that he is given weight away all round could make him vulnerable.

Therefore, the improving Mr Vango could be the value angle for the Sara Bradstock yard. The nine-year-old was last seen winning the London National impressively over three miles and four at Sandown.

He is the improver in this field, and there's likely to be more left in the tank.
