Thistle Ask is the runner from the James Ewart yard in the 14:57 today, and Brian Hughes is booked to take the ride.

The eight-year-old is yet to win over fences, but he made a very pleasing return to the track after a break of 598 days at the end of October when finishing second over the bigger obstacles over two miles at Ayr.

He is a very lightly raced contender, and there could be plenty of improvement to come based on his recent handicap chase debut.

Beyond The Verge could be the interesting contender in the final race on the card at Musselburgh today.

The six-year-old is the runner from the Susan Corbett yard, and Nathan Moscrop is booked to take the ride.

He was an 18/1 winner over two miles at Kelso in September, before staying on strongly when carrying a penalty on his latest effort when finishing a length behind Humble Jumble over the same course and distance. Solid chance on ratings, and is likely to be thereabouts.
