This week we will be looking back on past winners of the Irish Oaks with the event at the Curragh being the stand out contest across the week in Britain and Ireland.
In 2020 it was those famous Magnier colours that took the Group One but not for Aidan O'Brien with Ger Lyons taking the spoils with his horse Even So.
The filly although a smart horse did lack experience at the top level when being sent into the race, having only landed a Listed event and a Fillies Maiden in her four runs before the Oaks.
Stepping into the race at the Curragh he took on the likes of Cayenne Pepper and Passion and in a superb finish she came swinging on the outside to land her trainers second Irish Classic event.
From there she was seen twice in the Group One Prix Vermeille and the British Champions FIllies & Mares Stakes where on both times could only finish outside the frame.
Enjoy!
