Knappers Hill is bidding to make it two from two in the Novices' Hurdle and if coming on for the run could be very tough to beat.

The five year old gelding last season was a bit of a superstar in bumpers winning all three of his events in good style, justifying his price tag of 155,000gns.

Starting his career off in October at Chepstow, he was a seven length winner on this card and then went to Ascot off the back of that in December and made it two from two in a much better Listed contest.

Having shown clear ability in both his starts he was sent to Aintree during the Grand National meeting and landed a hat-trick of wins in the Group Two bumper.

He made a fair start to life over hurdles, not blowing anyone away but getting the job done in workmanlike fashion and should be much fitter for that run.

Trainer To Follow - Alan King

Superstar handler Alan King has been a real force over both the flat the jumps for the last decade and on Saturday he has some big chances at a track he does well at.

His leading contender across the day is the Simon Munir & Isaac Souede trained Sceau Royal who is bidding for back to back successes in the Elite Hurdle.

Another nice runner for the yard is the talented mare Wynn House who could be weighted to go close in the valuable mares handicap hurdle.

King has been in fine form of late running at a strike rate of 20% having had eight winners from 41 runners over the last two weeks.

Jockey To Follow - Harry Cobden

Harry Cobden could be set for a big day at his local track on Saturday with some big chances in the big races and with the form he enters the meeting in, it would be surprise to not see him grab some winners.

His first big runner of the day is Knappers Hill in the Novices' Hurdle with the youngster looking to make it five races unbeaten.

His best chance of the day comes from Bravemansgame in the Rising Stars Novice Chase, with this lad expected to be a Grade One winner this season.

Cobden enters the meeting sporting a strike rate of 23% which has seen him land seven winners from his last 30 rides over the last two weeks.
