The son of Havana Gold is lightly raced and is entitled to progress once more here for the step up into Group company.

Trainer Edward Bethell is in fine form of late with 4 winners from his last 9 runners and he'll be hoping to carry that form into the race.

Whilst Poetic Flare is a well fancied favourite in this, she's currently on a slight drift and despite dealing with soft conditions, progeny of Dawn Approach are often better placed on firm ground thereby leaving somewhat of an angle for taking her on.

Alcohol Free showed his suitability to heavy conditions when landing the Group 1 Coronation Stakes on his penultimate run at Ascot beating re-opposing rival Snow Lantern.

The daughter of No Nay Never was far from disgraced when missing out by half a length as Snow Lantern reversed that form back on fast ground last time out however Alcohol Free is now taken to reverse that form once more now back on the slower ground.

Andrew Balding (22% SR) and usual rider, Oisin Murphy (30%), are in fantastic form across the last 14 days, and will be hoping to bring those current levels of performance into the race.

Tilsit is a past C&D winner who won the Group 3 Thoroughbred Stakes on good to firm last season.

Based on that evidence, the son of First Defence may just deal with the heavier ground on offer by which he is untested on.

Goodwood is seemingly a track looking to suit and 2 wins and 5 placed efforts from 9 runs for progeny of Le Havre over middle-distances at Goodwood positively reinforce her chances here at an each way price.

With a 27% strike rate at the track, Sir Mark Prescott is a shrewd operator at Goodwood and it's unlikely that we'd see him bring a runner to the meeting without it having a winning chance.

Sunset Breeze bounced right back to form last time out at Newcastle for the application of blinkers, just missing out by a shoulder at the finish.

From his current mark he may just have a bit over this field and with the blinkers re-applied for todays race, he holds fairly compelling claims at getting his head in front.
