She was unable to apply her usual prominent tactics that day but she showed a great attitude to run on into second.
The daughter of Speightstown landed last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies and should take all the beating at Grade 2 level.

Next up is the Alysheba Stakes, where Bob Baffert's McKinzie aims to defend his crown.
This horse is comfortably the best in the field on form but as a 5-y-o he has failed to match his best efforts so a chance is taken on Owendale, who looks a decent each-way bet if he gets his required pace to aim at.
This 4-y-o colt has won at the track before and he has been freshened up since a defeat in the Grade 2 Stephen Foster stakes where he was held up in a slowly run affair.
Bret Calhoun, the trainer of rival Be My Standards, has said his intention is to put the free-running horse into the race and utilize his high-cruising speed. If a couple of others try to compete with him we may get the perfect toe into the race.

Monomoy Girl holds outstanding claims in the Grade 1 La Troienne Stakes.
This mare is already a multiple Grade 1 winner her recent comeback from a 700+ day absence saw her defeat Vexatious, who subsequently beat Midnight Bisou in a Grade 1 event at Saratoga.
The one negative for Brad Cox's mare is that she has been handed stall 8, but if Florent Geroux can get her out sharply she should be too good for these.

Finally we have the Kentucky Oaks, where Bob Baffert's Gamine is all the rage after a sequence of brilliant performances.
This filly cost $1,800,000 and she has looked a class above the rest winning Graded races by ridiculous distances. If she turns up in the same form then she will take the beating in a race her trainer has won twice since 2011.
