Grade One Brown Advisory Novice Chase

A stiff test of stamina for the novice chasers, the Brown Advisory has often been a stepping stone to the following year's Gold Cup. We've taken a look at all of the runners going to post to see if there's a future Cheltenham Festival superstar.

American Mike

Won two of his three starts this season since going chasing including when beating Fact To File on their chase debuts at Navan.

Bounced back from a disappointing run at Christmas to win on his first try at 3m at Navan 31 days ago.

Fact To File

Smart bumper horse who finished 2nd twice behind a A Dream To Share including here in the Champion Bumper last season.

Has forgone a novice hurdle campaign to go straight over fences and has really taken off this season.

Finished behind American Mike on chase debut but has won both starts since including at the Dublin Racing Festival last time out were he had Gaelic Warrior beaten before that one fell.

Giovinco

Has had a busy campaign running 5 times already this season winning twice.

Was just behind Stay Away Fay when the pair met in a Grade 2 at Sandown and paid for that effort when pulled up in a Grade 1 at Kempton just two weeks later.

Returned from a 51 day break to win a handicap chase at Newcastle and comes here after another month off.

Monty's Star

Finished 3L behind Corbetts Cross on his chase debut but managed to get his head infront at the 2nd time of asking when beating Three Card Brag by 5L.

Form of that isn't up to winning this and he was behind Stay Away Fay when they met in a point to point.

Sandor Clegane

Finished 3rd in the Albert Bartlett at this meeting last season.

Hasn't really kicked on since going chasing and is yet to win in three starts this term over the larger obstacles.

Stay Away Fay

Won the Albert Bartlett last season and has really taken to chasing this time around.

Won his first two starts including a Grade 2 at Sandown when getting the better of Giovinco.

Ran really well in open company when beaten 3L by Capodanno in the Cotswold Chase 46 days at Cheltenham.
