One horse, trainer and jockey to follow from Newmarket

Horse To Follow - Waldkonig

One of the most exciting runners for us on Saturday is the John Gosden trained Waldkonig who just looks a star in the making.

The Listed Newmarket Stakes over 1 mile 2 furlongs has given us some stand out winners over the years and we believe it is going to do the same with this three year old.

This son of Kingman really does have a lot going for him and is already high in the betting for the Derby after just one run.

The three year old has a famous bloodline being a half brother to last season's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Waldgeist and on his debut he showed that star ability the family has.

He went to Wolverhampton in December over 1 mile 1/2 furlong and bolted up like a horse you have never seen before, running green but then powering away in the finish.

Best bet of the day.

Trainer To Follow - Andrew Balding

Andrew Balding is one of the most inform trainers since the start of the flat season on Monday with winners up and down the country with his horses running to a very high standard.

The handler on Saturday has some very strong chances to extend his current record of five winners from 14 runners which has seen him gain a 35.71% strike rate.

We like the look of two of his runners on Saturday with Stone Of Destiny in the first race of the day returning to five furlongs off his last winning mark and in the last he has Nate The Great who looks well treated off his peak performances from last season.

He is a trainer bang in form and should be followed.

Jockey To Follow - William Buick

William Buick has had some superb days in the saddle for Godolphin and we believe Saturday will be another he can add to that illustrious roster.

He sits on the favourite Pinatubo in the 2000 Guineas and if running to form should be very tough to beat off the back of what he did last year.

He also has some other nice chances in the day with the main ride coming on Magic Lily for Charlie Appleby, who finished second behind stablemate Barney Roy in Meydan last time out and that looks the form to beat.

Buick has had one winner since the turn of the season running at a 20% strike rate and he should add to that on the weekend.
