Today we are looking back at the 2018 renewal of the Grade Two Silviniaco Conti Chase, with this event being the last time it was ran as a Listed event, before gaining a higher status.
Waiting Patiently for Malcolm and Ruth Jefferson when winning this event, really put his name on the map off the back of this event, taking the Listed contest by an easy eight lengths.
Off the back of his win he went to Ascot and landed the first Grade One of his career in the Ascot Chase, seeing off the superstar Cue Card.
These two wins came as part of a seven race winning streak which saw him win races up and down the country but unfortunately, since February 2018, he has not been seen winning a contest.
Although this is the case he has Placed in an Ascot Chase, Tingle Creek, King George and Clarence House Chase showing he is still a special horse.
Now trained by Christian Williams, the trainer will be hoping he can eek more improvement out of him and finally get him back to winning races.
