Who To Follow At Fairyhouse On Sunday - 09/04/2023

Trainer To Follow - Willie Mullins

Willie Mullins sends a superb team to Fairyhouse on the Sunday starting in the third event with Ashroe Diamond, Night And Day, Eabhe Grace, Lot Of Joy, Hauturiere, Nikini, Pink In The Park and Got Glory all holding chances.

In the Grade Two Paddy Kehoe Suspended Ceilings Novice Hurdle Parmenion looks a very progressive type but is short in the market for what he has done to date but Mullins also has The Gunner Yeats and Ho My Lord who aren't without a chance.

Hunters Yarn will be looking to put his run behind him in the County Hurdle as he steps back into Grade Two Company but Mullins also fields Hercule Du Seuil who held some strong form at the start of the season.

Dinoblue could be one of the Closutton trainers bet of the day into a handicap again off the same mark as her second at the Cheltenham festival and if jumping better should be tough to beat.

The race of the afternoon is the Fairyhouse Gold Cup and although Mighty Potter will take some beating, Mullins is extremely strong in the race with Appreciate It, Sir Gerhard, Flame Bearer, James Du Berlais, Adamantly Chosen and Authorized Art.

Mullins finished off the afternoon in the bumper with Grand Slam Slam for Gigginstown House Stud and this £170,000 purchase could turn out to be anything.

Jockey To Follow - Rachael Blackmore

Rachael Blackmore has picked up some decent rides across Sunday afternoon at Fairyhouse and it looks as though there could be a few horses that see her in the winners enclosure.

She starts in the opener on a potentially nice type for owner Robcour with Classic Lord putting up two fair fourths and is now looking to get his head in front.

Blackmore then rides the well weighted Arcland in the first handicap of the afternoon with a mark of 107 potentially lenient for a horse coming from the flat.

In the first Grade One of the afternoon she sits on the second string for Henry De Bromhead with Rioga Choice looking to run better than her odds suggest.

Deep Cave could be riders best chance of the afternoon in the smart Grade Two over 2m 4 1/2f with the gelding having some good form this term.

She then jumps back on Arctic Bresil in the Grade Two over 2m with the horse looking to build on his Cork victory and not his run in the Tolworth.

Blackmore then rides for Noel Meade in the Grade One Fairyhouse Gold Cup where Flanking Maneuver will be looking to pick up some place money.
