Trainer To Follow - Paul Nicholls

Paul Nicholls sends a strong team to Newbury on Saturday starting in the opener with McFabulous looking to get back to winning ways in a three runner Novices' Limited Handicap Chase.

In the next Barbados Bucks is at the top of the market for Nicholls with the eight year old putting up two good thirds this term and getting his good ground off 128 he should go close. Nicholls also has Flementside in the race.

Hitman is then the favourite in the Grade Two Denman Chase with the seven year old looking to show he is the real deal and land the event.

Arguably Nicholls best shout of the day comes in the Grade Two Game Spirit Chase with Greaneteen rated far superior than his rivals and is a very short price to win the event.

Nicholls holds some strong cards in the Betfair Hurdle with Rubaud the second favourite of 15/2 and Hacker Des Places a big player if being able to give the weight away.

The 13 time champion trainer finishes the afternoon off by running Holetown Hero in the Novices' Hurdle just four days after his latest win and then in the Listed bumper is double handed with Meatloaf and Fire Flyer, who both have chances.

Nicholls holds chances in every race across the card at Newbury and heads into the meeting sporting a 23% strike rate.

Jockey To Follow - Sam Twiston-Davies

Sam Twiston-Davies has some nice rides at Newbury on Saturday which makes him a man to follow across the afternoon with his first big ride of the afternoon coming in the Denman Chase.

He sits on the Anthony Honeyball trained Sam Brown who won't like the drying ground but does have the class to get amongst this field from a stamina and class point of view.

In the Betfair Hurdle, Twiston-Davies sits on Master Chewy a horse he likes a lot and the market does too being a big mover from 22s into 12s.

The rider then teams up with Syd Hosie on Way Out who is looking to get back to form and then in the bumper Shinji for the father and son duo looks a promising recruit for the yard.

Sam Twiston-Davies is riding to a good standard at the moment currently running at a strike rate of 21% for the last two weeks, having eight winners from 38 rides.
