Trainer To Follow - Charlie Appleby

Charlie Appleby sends just the two runners to the Knavesmire on Thursday and both of them look to have very good chances with William Buick riding both.

The first and looking like his best chance on the day comes in the feature Group Two Dante Stakes and Flying Honours was a very smart juvenile and can kick on in his three year old career.

Then in the Maiden Stakes over 6f Impressive Act is a well bred son of Dubawi who was bought for 650,000gns and could have a big future.

Appleby has been firing in the winners of late running at a strike rate of 27% for the last two weeks, managing nine winners from his last 33 runners.

Jockey To Follow - Kevin Stott

Amo Racing's retained number one rider Kevin Stott has three decent rides on Thursday at York and with all them holding chances he looks the man to follow.

His first ride of the afternoon comes in the feature Group Two Dante Stakes over 10.5f and although a bug price King Of Steel looks that will improve for the step up in trip.

One of the riders better chances of the afternoon comes in the Listed Westow Stakes with Walbank getting back to the scene of the crime of his sole win.

Finally, in the Maiden Stakes Cuban Thunder was a taking debutant at Newmarket in April and having that form and experience on his side he should go close again.

Stott heads into Thursday's meeting currently running at a strike rate of 25% for the last two weeks, managing to land eight winners from his last 32 rides.
