Trainer To Follow - Ralph Beckett

Ralph Beckett is a trainer flying high this season and he has three runners on ITV from Sandown that are worth taking notice of across Saturday.

In the Virgin Bet Handicap over 1m2f Lord Protector goes for the yard and having been a winner two starts ago and a good sixth in tough conditions last time out at Glorious Goodwood he can give a bold showing here.

Beckett also fields Baltic Voyage who has been slightly frustrating this season but his win two starts back showed his true ability and getting back to that makes him interesting.

The trainers most interesting runner on the afternoon comes in the Group Three Solario Stakes with Mortlake a very impressive winner last time out and should build on that up in class.

Beckett has been in superb form of late and for the last two weeks has a strike rate of 31% with his horses, managing to win 15 races from his last 48 runners.

Jockey To Follow - Rossa Ryan - Sandown

Rossa Ryan has four nice rides across the races being shown from Sandown on ITV starting with Tough Enough in the Class 3 Handicap over 7f where the three year old is looking to make it two wins on the spin.

In one of the feature races of the afternoon at the Esher track he will be hoping to get the most out of the outsider of the field Mysterious Love who will hoping for the heavens to open.

Ryan then rides the second favourite Lord Protector in the Class 2 Handicap over 1m2f, finishing a good sixth at Glorious Goodwood last time out and getting back to better ground should help his chances.

Finally the young rider has one of his chances of the afternoon in the Group Three Solario Stakes with Mortlake for Ralph Beckett looking to improve again from his Novice Stakes win last time out.
