Trainer To Follow - Charlie Appleby

Charlie Appleby would like to be in better form this week but holds some leading players on Sunday at Newmarket starting in the opener with Adayar looking to land the Group Three Gordon Richard Stakes.

In the Listed Pretty Polly Stakes the master trainer fields two runners both with equal chances with Queen Of Fairies and Joyful Act both nice types for the future.

Appleby then has the favourite in the Group Two Dahlia Stakes and With The Moonlight has been globetrotting throughout her career and holds leading form coming back to Newmarket.

In the the feature race of the day Dream of Love goes for the yard in the 1000 Guinea with the smart mare holding some strong form in her three runs to date.

Appleby gives On Point his debut in the Maiden Stakes over five furlongs and then finishes the afternoon with High Honour in the 1m2f Handicap.

Jockey To Follow - Oisin Murphy

Three time Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy has a handy book of rides on Sunday at Newmarket starting in the second race with Berkshire Rocco a redemption mission having raced well earlier this year.

He then rides the favourite in the Listed Pretty Polly Stakes with the daughter of Roaring Lion, Running Lion looking to make it four on the bounce.

In the big one on the day, the Group One 1000 Guineas and Mawj for Saeed bin Suroor is a solid each way player showing she stays the mile already this season in Meydan.

Murphy then teams up with Loaded Gun for Andrew Balding in the Maiden Stakes and then for the same trainer in the Howden Handicap rides Kadovar who has a live chance.

The rider finishes the afternoon on board the Qatar Racing owned Lion Of War who was a better third on seasonal debut and should build on that.
