Trainer To Follow - Charlie Appleby

Charlie Appleby sends a strong team on the first day of the Newmarket Guineas meeting starting in the opener where he sends Castle Way and Victory Dance into the Listed Newmarket Stakes, with both holding leading chances.

His best chance of the day comes in the rescheduled Group Two bet365 Mile where Native Trail is looking to bounce back to form at a track he performs well at.

In the Listed King Charles II Stakes Majestic Pride tops the market looking to make it back to back wins over the same course and distance as his last win at the Craven meeting.

The other big event of the day on Friday is the Group Two Jockey Club Stakes and Hurricane Lane was a superstar three year old that if bouncing back has a huge chance.

The final runner of the afternoon for the yard comes in the Maiden Fillies' Stakes with Sahara Mist looking to go one better than her debut second.

Appleby heads into Friday sporting a strike rate of 19% for the last two weeks with three winners from his last 16 runners.

Jockey To Follow - Oisin Murphy

Oisin Murphy has come back this season in determined form and on Friday he starts the meeting off in the Listed Newmarket Stakes on board Relentless Voyager who was last seen bolting up at Kempton.

At a bigger price in the Group Two bet365 Mile is Imperial Fighter who did not handle the heavy ground on debut and should improve for the better ground and better conditions.

Murphy then rides for Andrew Balding again this time on the well bred Arabian Storm who like his other mounts should strip much fitter for her first run this term.

The three time champion jockey then teams up with Jack Channon on Miss Mach One who makes her debut in the Fillies Maiden Stakes over 5f.

One of his better chances of the afternoon comes in the penultimate race of the afternoon on Therapist for Cheveley Park Stud with the three year old holding some key experience.

Finally, Murphy rides Arthur's Realm for trainer Ed Dunlop who is not without a chance in the handicap event, now off a mark of 88.
