John Gosden's Roaring Lion has had a phenomenal season so far with one race left to challenge for on Champions day at Ascot in the coming weeks which could see him finish as a three year old with four Group 1s.
The Oisin Murphy ridden colt has picked up seven wins during his tenor as a race horse which started on his debut at Newmarket. Since then he has gone to pick up wins at Sandown, Leopardstown, Kempton, York and again at Newmarket.
His Group 1 wins have all come this season but it wasn't always thought it was going to happen after the way he started off in the Craven meeting where he finished fifth and didn't live up to the hype that he had.
However from there he went on to win the Group 2 Dante Stakes at York and followed that up with the Coral Eclipse, Juddmonte International and latest the Irish Champion Stakes.
Roaring Lion is the one of the best horses in training this season and this has shown in the Cartier Horse Of The Year standings where he is currently leading the way by 14 points to Alpha Centauri.
