The first selection from us at Dundalk on Friday evening comes in the second race of the day which sees a maiden event over a staying trip and Sir Lamorak is our pick.

The Aidan O'Brien trained three year old has been seen twice to date during his career and they both came last year as a juvenile.

He made his debut at Leopardstown over a mile on soft ground and finished a fair fifth behind winning stablemate Bolshoi Ballet.

He then dropped down to seven furlongs at The Curragh on heavy ground and again finished fourth behind a stablemate, this time it being Arturo Toscanini.

Now stepping up in trip on a sounder surface it should bring big improvement if fully wound up for his seasonal debut.

Next up sees us go with the Ger Lyons trained To Glory in the Median Auction Auction event over a mile and if this youngster can build on his runs last year then he has a huge chance.

The gelding was seen four times as a two year old, making a winning debut at Limerick in June over 1m1f and was then dropped down to 6f at The Curragh in the Group Two Railway Stakes and didn't take to the trip.

Moved back up to seven furlongs, he was again outclassed in the Group Two Futurity Stakes, with the winner Mac Swiney going on to win Group One glory and the second Cadillac, winning a Group Two on Irish Champions weekend.

The gelding once again in Listed company did not give a great showing on his final start last term, but having been running in superb company and dropping down to this lowly class of a race, he should be amongst the frame.

Our penultimate selection at Dundalk on Friday comes in the Apprentice Handicap over a mile and Sense of Worth takes the eye.

The five year old, although near the top of the weights has shown some of the best from in the race and in what looks a weak race should make it count.

The gelding did not show much last year, but on his first start this term over course and distance he was a good second of 14 and only getting a 3lb hike for that run makes him interesting again.

The final event of the evening sees a six furlong handicap and the top weighted Eloso takes the eye and if being able to handle the weight looks a big player.

The three year old has shown glimpses of form in his three runs to date, finishing seventh of 10 in January on his debut run and then learnt from that run next time out over the same course and distance to finish a good third behind two smart types.

Upped to a mile last time out on the all weather he was a decent fifth of 14 and making his handicap debut today off a mark of 72 could see him well in.
