Tampa Bay - 19:15 - No Way Jose 2/1

Eddie Kenneally’s No Way Jose looks capable of striking now dropped in grade.

This 5-y-o mare was once thrown into the Group1 Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket by Brian Meehan so she evidently has plenty of class and her form since switching to the US looks strong.

Her standout performance is the defeat of Christophe Clement’s Carbiba at Gulfstream. That rival subsequently won a red hot Stakes race before mixing it with some smart horses at Kentucky Downs.

No Way Jose had a break after that race but she returned with a decent effort for her new yard and it looks as though they are looking to pick up another victory dropping her in class and booking one of the track’s top jockeys.

Plum draw.

Gulfstream - 20:48 - Higher Law 4/1 NB

Another that has been gifted stall 1 is George Weaver’s 3-y-o gelding Higher Law.

The son of Constitution attracted support on debut and he made an eye-catching move from the rear before fading as though he was in need of the run.

With that experience in the bag he is likely to last much longer this time around and connections have opted for the blinkers to eek out further improvement.

Tyler Gaffalione is a positive jockey booking and the yard have an impressive 29% s/r at the course (12months)
