Final Demand vs. The New Lion Set For Turners Novices' Hurdle

The fields for the second day of the Cheltenham Festival have been finalised, with Final Demand taking his spot in the Turners Novices' Hurdle.

The Willie Mullins star was last seen winning by 12 lengths at the Dublin Racing Festival, and has opted for the opening race on Wednesday instead of the Albert Bartlett.

Dan Skelton-trained The New Lion is the current market leader after winning three from three over hurdles. The Yellow Clay has also been entered in the Turners Novices' Hurdle after winning on his last four starts.

Kiss Will, Potters Charm, and Sixmilebridge will rank among the other market leaders in a full field of eleven.

Jonbon Heads Eight Declarations for Champion Chase

Nicky Henderson's superstar Jonbon will be looking to overcome a poor recent record of favourites in the Champion Chase on Wednesday, with a field of eight declared on Monday.

Marine Nationale, as well as former winners Energumene and Captain Guiness will also take their chances. Found A Fifty, Libberty Hunter, Quilixios, and Solness complete the field.

However, all eyes will be on the mount of Nico de Boinville, as Jonbon looks to record a 13th win over fences on his 15th start.

All-Irish Field For Brown Advisory Novices' Chase

Ballyburn and Dancing City headline the entries for the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase, with all seven left standing being trained in Ireland.

Better Days Head, Gorgeous Tom, Lecky Watson, Stellar Story, and Quai De Bourbon are all entered, but the Willie Mullins duo will dominate the betting.

Elsewhere, a field of 18 have been declared for the Champion Bumper, including Copacabana, Kalypso'chance, and Gameofinches.

Stumptown and Galvin both feature among the 16 declared for the Cross Country Chase, with Coko Beach, Iwilldoit, and Vanillier also entered.

A full field of runners has also been declared for the Coral Cup, with Dan Skelton-trained Be Aware one of the big handicap fancies of the week.
