A best ever Racing Post Rating of 177, Jonbon was sent off 8/13 favourite for this Grade 1. He made a couple of small jumping errors, but was ridden clear with one fence to go and won with easy.

Also sent off 8/13, he readily pulled away on the run in to win by 8 lengths. The Soft ground arguably exaggerated his jumping mistakes, but he still recorded an RPR of 174.

Returning to Cheltenham to defend his Shloer Chase crown, Jonbon was sent off at 1/3.

Backers never had any worries as he quickly pulled 2 lengths clear before the last fence, and was then gently ridden out to comfortably beat Boothill, with Edwardstone back in 3rd.
