A competitive handicap hurdle is due off at 14:00 at Lingfield. Jamie Snowden-trained Golden Maverick could hold interesting claims.

The four-year-old was a two-time winner in juvenile hurdles last season and should come on from his return effort when 23 lengths beaten by Wreckless Eric over two miles at Cheltenham.

Should be suited by this step up in trip, and holds an excellent chance based on his runs over hurdles last season.

David Pipe's runner in the 14:30 at Lingfield is Shot Boii. The seven-year-old has been inconsistent over bigger obstacles, winning once from ten starts.

However, there was plenty to like about his last effort, delivering a bold front-running display when taking third over three miles and one at Hereford.

Could feasibly have more to offer over this shorter trip on Monday if adopting the same tactics.

King William Rufus is the runner from the Chris Gordon yard at Lingfield on Monday.

The seven-year-old has won once from ten starts over hurdles, and has been unlucky on three starts since returning from a 165-day break at Fontwell in October.

Has finished second on his last three efforts, including over two miles at Kempton at the end of last month. Sure to give another good account, and today could be his day to get his nose in front.
