A trainer on Tuesday is looking to have a winner at Fakenham over the jumps, sending just one runner to the Norfolk based track on the day, which sees the handler make a 602 mile round trip.
The trainer in question is Peter Bowen, who boasts an impressive 29% strike rate (70 -240) with his horses that travel at least this distance; he holds a 22% strike rate and a 55% place rate with his chasers at Fakenham.
Bowen's runner, Game Line, won this race in 2021 off the exact same 110 rating he runs from today and is expected to once again be primed heading into the affair.
The son of Sandmason, whilst in lesser form heading into this years renewal in comparison to last year, may have just been campaigned with this race in mind, and was held up out the rear throughout his run last time out in a possible prep run for today whilst taking a drop in the handicap.
A return to better ground, at a well suited track, off his last winning mark, on the back of a further 49 day break, may just see him bounce back to his best here.
