A trainer on Wednesday is looking to have a winner at Wolves on the all-weather, sending just a single runner on a 612 mile round trip to the Midlands based track.
When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
The trainer in question is the in-form Lucinda Russell who boasts a highly impressive 21% strike rate across the last 14 days.
There was a lot to like about her representative, Ballyare, when last seen over C&D 11 days ago, finishing strongly from the rear after finding himself short of room from a furlong out, placing an eventual 3rd.
He finished behind a re-opposing rival in Inevitable Outcome in that affair and given that runner is a 13/2 shot for this race, didn't have trouble in running, and is now 4lbs worse off with Ballyare at the weights, there's plenty reason to believe that Lucinda Russell's charge can reverse that form here and make up a mere 1.5 length margin; on that evidence Ballyare also appears well overpriced.
This will be Oisin Orr's only ride of the day, an interesting jockey booking given Oisin predominantly rides over in Ireland.
