On Saturday, one trainer will be sending just a single runner across the Irish Sea to Cheltenham in a bid to land a long distance winner.
When we see trainers coming over to Britain from Ireland, to just run the one horse, we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
The trainer in question is Tony Martin, known as a somewhat shrewd operator for his horses flying below the radar before cropping up with a big run.
His runner Good Time Jonny comes here stripping fit and in top form having landed a decent looking handicap at Gowran Park last time out by a 5 length margin, travelling strongly throughout before keeping on well at the finish.
He clearly holds a high level of potential given connections felt he was good enough to contest the Champion bumper at last years festival meeting, and this relatively lightly raced son of Shirocco looks to still be well in with the handicapper if taking another step forward today.
