A trainer on Friday is looking to have a winner at Catterick over the jumps, sending just one runner to the northern based track on the day, which sees the handler make a 500 mile round trip.
When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
The trainer in question is Richard Bandey who has only ever sent 6 runners on a journey this far to race.
He recently acquired 6yo gelding Give Me A Moment from Irish connections and in his first two starts for the trainer, has recorded two runner-up finishes.
The form from his first run appears strong given the winner and third place finisher have both won since and on his second effort, he appears to have bumped into a well handicapped type carrying bottom weight for the contest.
The runner has winning form on good ground that he's likely to relish today and the RPR's from his recent runs rank the clear highest in this field.
Despite carrying top weight today, connections may have just found him the perfect race to get off the mark.
