A trainer on Sunday is looking to have a winner at Huntingdon over the jumps, sending just one runner across, which sees the handler make a cross country trip across the Irish Sea to compete.
When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
The trainer in question is shrewd operator Ronan McNally who brings forth sole representative Vee Dancer to be competitive here.
Vee Dancer remains lightly raced over hurdles and following a less that fruitious campaign on the flat this summer, he returned to jumps action with a much improved 6th placed finish over 3 miles at Down Royal last time out.
He possibly didn't quite see out the trip that day and is now dropped back down to a better suited 2m 4f.
The son of Morozov was well backed when expected to run at both Carlisle and Clonmel recently however the former was abandoned and he was a non-runner on account of the ground in the latter of those entries.
He gets suited good ground today and has been equipped with Kevin Brogan on board, a top booking in this conditional jockeys sphere.
He is again seeing plenty money in the market with the expectation of him being a well handicapped horse with potential to be a much better rounded proposition over the jumps this season.
