Potters Charm should prove hard to beat in the G1 Formby Novices' Hurdle at Aintree on Boxing Day.

The Nigel Twiston-Davies yard is striking at 16% over the last two weeks, and Sam Twiston-Davies is booked to take the ride.

The five-year-old is unbeaten in four starts under rules, and was last seen bolting up in Grade Two company at Cheltenham last month when beating Valgrand by a staggering eleven lengths.

Back down to two miles today, but still appears to be the one to beat based on ratings.

Red Dirt Road looks like a solid contender in the 13:40 at Aintree for the Jonjo & AJ O'Neill team. Jonjo Jr is booked to take the ride on the seven-year-old, who has won twice from six starts under rules.

He made his return to the track following a 568-day break at Carlisle at the start of the month, finishing eighth and 22 lengths behind To Chase A Dream.

Back up in trip, and looks well handicapped on his 2023 form.
