Bhaloo goes chasing this season for the Nicky Henderson team after two wins over hurdles last season.

He travelled well at Warwick in the latest of his starts over the smaller obstacles, finishing second behind Uggy Uggy Uggy.

The feature at Ascot this weekend is due off at 15:45, with Cheltenham Festival winner Chianti Classico heading the betting for the Sodexo Gold Cup.

However, the progressive Highstakesplayer for Tom Lacey could be primed to cause a minor upset. He has an impressive record over fences, winning on four from five starts over the bigger obstacles, which includes an excellent success at the end of last season when landing the Paradise Island Handicap Chase at Kempton.

The only blip on his record came on unfavourable heavy ground, and back on a better surface, he is expected to give a solid account on his return to action.
