Irish Hill should have leading claims in the opener at Ascot on Friday. The runner for Paul Nicholls will have Jay Tidball aboard, and he has a consistent record over hurdles.
Has won six from 22 starts over the smaller obstacles, and was a staying on second behind Getalead over two miles and four at Wincanton on his previous outing.
Stays this trip, and should have pressing claims off this weight, and in this company.
The unexposed Belliano could hold obvious claims in the maiden hurdle at Ascot on Friday, which is due off at 13:20.
Harry Cobden takes the ride on the Paul Nicholls runner, who was a point winner in Ireland in November 2023. Returned after a 339-day break from the track in late October with a fine effort over two miles and three at Chepstow, finishing within five lengths of the promising The New Lion.
Should have more to give, and will likely enjoy going up in trip.
Iberico Lord made a striking impression on chase debut last month, and he looks capable of following that success up with another win today.
The Nicky Henderson yard is striking at 14% over the last two weeks, and Nico de Boinville is booked to take the ride.
The six-year-old jumped excellently on his first start over fences at Kempton, and eventually finished a length clear of Leave Of Absence. Top on ratings, and plenty going in his favour.
An ultra-competitive handicap hurdle is due off at 14:30 at Ascot. Claims can be made by most, but Chris Gordon-trained King William Rufus could be weighted to go one better after finishing second on his last four starts.
The latest of those came over two miles at Kempton, as he finished four lengths behind Kabral Du Mathan.
Has a consistent profile that is worth following, and Freddie Gordon is booked to take the ride.
Johnnywho represents the Jonjo & AJ O'Neill stable on Friday.
The seven-year-old was a very good winner on chase debut over two miles and four at Carlisle in October, beating Bugise Seagull by over a length, but travelling like a dream throughout that race.
Was stepped into Grade Two company on his latest effort, but finished third and ten lengths behind The Jukebox Man. This is much easier, and he should prove very difficult to beat.
An informative bumper rounds off the card at Ascot on Friday, with plenty having live chances. However, Windbeneathmywings comes out on top based on RPRs.
The four-year-old for David Pipe will be the ride of Jack Tudor today. He was a winner in two flat races over the summer, including when winning impressively over two miles at Listowel by five lengths from Addragoole in September.
Leading player on form lines, and there should still be more to come.
