Ben Case-trained Midnightreflection could be an interesting selection in the 12:55 at Ascot on Saturday.

Charlie Case is booked to take the ride on the nine-year-old mare. Midnightreflection has won five from 31 starts over hurdles, and was second in this race back in 2020.

She went one better to land this contest in 2023. However, she has been below that level so far this year.

Returned from a break at the start of November with a subdued eighth over two miles and five at Ludlow. Should be primed for this, and she likes at Ascot.

Pic D'Orhy should prove extremely difficult to beat in the G2 1965 Chase at Ascot on Saturday.

Harry Cobden takes the ride on the Paul Nicholls runner, who boasts a clear advantage on official ratings.

The nine-year-old is a top-class operator at this level, winning nine of his 19 starts over the bigger obstacles.

Has a fine record at Ascot, most recently winning over course and distance in February. Goes well fresh, and ticks all possible boxes.

Unbeaten Golden Ace has something to find on official ratings in the G2 Ascot Hurdle.

However, she is a clearly improving contender in this division, and should prove tough to beat on conditions that are bound to suit over two miles and three.

The six-year-old mare has won on all four starts over hurdles, including when landing the G2 Mares' Novices' Hurdle.

Was last seen in April finishing well clear of Ooh Betty by eight lengths. Goes well fresh and the one to beat.
