British Champions Day on Saturday is set to round of the flat season in style and we have a big ante-post selection that we believe is hugely over priced and worth keeping an eye on.
The Group Two Long Distance Cup on Saturday features a very diverse field of runners with superstar stayer Stradivarius looking to make it two wins in consecutive seasons.
But with the ground conditions looking likely to be heavy on the weekend we believe John Gosden's stable star will be pulled out of the race leaving it up to another horse to go and land the spoils.
We fancy Aidan O'Brien's Delphinia (16/1) if Stradivarius does not run and even if the five year old does go to post O'Brien's filly is a lovely each way price.
The three year old has really come to life this season being stepped up in trip gradually in some good races and putting in some smart performances
It seems from the way she has ran this season that soft ground or even heavy is her preferred surface and with Ascot looking like a bog at this moment in time she will have her ideal conditions.
Last time out at Longchamp over her first run at 1 mile 6 furlongs she was a superb second in very soft ground to Epsom Oaks winner Anarpurna in the Group One Prix de Royallieu.
She outstayed plenty horses with proven ability in this division that day and now being stepped up again in trip it should bring even more out of her.
There is a question of if she will be fresh coming out of that rough contest but at 16/1 she is a lovely price and worth taking a punt on.
