Ante-post favourite for the Champion Bumper - Malone Road is likely to miss the festival after picking up a knee injury.
The 4yo has two wins to his name, having impressively scored at both Down Royal and Punchestown in recent weeks.
His trainer Gordon Elliott, reported on Monday that the injury is not career threatening, but will mean he is on the sidelines for some time.
(Credit: Racing Post) Elliot said: "Malone Road has had a setback. It's hard to know whether he'll make Cheltenham or not and whether he might have to wait for Punchestown or something like that.
"It's a knee injury but not career threatening or anything like that. He's a very nice horse."
However, Elliott will not have to look far for a new bumper representative, after Envoi Allen produced a fine turn of foot to win by four lengths at Fairyhouse on Sunday.
Along with his injured stablemate, Envoi Allen is owned by the Cheveley Park Stud silks, and has momentarily adopted the favourite tag for the Bumper.
Envoi Allen is around about a 6/1 favourite, with the Willie Mullins-trained Mt Leinster next best at 16/1.
