Parisencore enters the 13:57 at Carlisle as a solid contender, with odds currently sitting at 4/1. Trained by Nicky Richards and ridden by Danny McMenamin, this 8-year-old gelding has shown commendable consistency in recent outings. With a strong OR of 130 and carrying 11-10, Parisencore has placed in the top three in his last two starts, both over 20 furlongs at Perth, finishing 3rd and 2nd, respectively. His win at Perth back in June under similar conditions highlights his ability to perform on good ground. With 38 days since his last race, he comes in fresh, and his proven stamina and form make him a serious contender in this field.

Malicash lines up for the 14:32 at Carlisle with odds of 5/1, and although he’s been off the track for 187 days, he’s a horse worth keeping an eye on. Trained by Donald McCain and partnered with former champion jockey Brian Hughes, this 5-year-old brings a decent level of experience for his age, with some solid performances over shorter distances. His standout run was a 2nd place finish at Kelso on soft ground back in February, showing he handles testing conditions well. Although he was slightly outclassed in his latest effort at Aintree, his earlier form suggests he has the ability to compete. With his combination of proven ability and top connections make him a definite threat in the 14:32.

An EW doubles bet on Parisencore and Malicash looks like a smart play here, given their strong chances in their respective races at Carlisle.
