⚫ Chelmsford (19:00) - Switchel
⚫ Chelmsford (20:30) - Koy Koy
Switchel is preferred to finally break her maiden on the 12th attempt at Chelmsford on Thursday.
The four-year-old filly for trainer Hughie Morrison was last seen finishing a close second over course and distance last month.
She travelled better on that showing than she had on her previous ten starts under rules, but was narrowly denied after finishing over a length behind Early Morning Dew.
Her best efforts have come on the all-weather, and the fact that the hood is back off for her run on Thursday can only improve her chances from a favourable draw.
Koy Koy has won three times from 23 races under rules, but has been slightly regressive on his previous four starts.
George Boughey is keeping faith with the five-year-old, with the yard striking at 5% over the last two weeks. Grace McEntee is booked to take the ride today.
Koy Koy has been in deeper waters throughout the year, but the figures at least show that he has what it takes to be competitive on his Polytrack bow.
His best run to date was achieved on the all-weather, winning on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton over an extended mile last September.
