Mother Earth has been one of the stars of the mile fillies division this term running superbly in two Group One events and off the back of those she is the worthy favourite for this event.

The filly was a fair juvenile landing a Group Three event on her third start, and then towards the end of last season finishing second at the Breeders' Cup meeting in a Group One and also finishing a good third in the Group One Fillies' Mile.

The yard did not know what to expect for the daughter of Zoffany but on seasonal debut this term she managed to land the 1000 Guineas in taking style.

Off the back of that she was sent to France looking to land the 1000 Guineas double, but she could only finish second, giving another good account of herself.

She offers the best form in the race and should not be taken lightly.

The filly has had six starts to date and has shown serious ability on all of them, getting off the mark at the first time of asking at Bellewstown in July 2020.

She then went to Leopardstown and finished a close second behind Shale for Donnacha O'Brien in a Group Three contest on quicker ground which is not her preferred surface.

However, she came on for that performance when pulling away from a decent field including Shale, to land a Group Two over seven furlongs at The Curragh.

Next time out the pair met for the decider and Shale just got the better of her once more in the Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes, again on good ground.

Stepping up to a 8f for the Group One Fillies' Mile at Newmarket she bounced back to winning ways with a superb performance.

The form of that race has reached new heights, with the third since winning the 1000 Guineas, with fourth, eighth and 10th also going on to win nice events.

She returned this season in the Irish 1000 Guineas and although only finishing seventh it was her first run for a while and any rain that falls ahead of the race will be a plus.

The daughter of Galileo out of Lillie Langtry has a superb pedigree being a full sister to the superstar Minding and this season she has shown just how special she is.

On debut at Naas over a mile she was an impressive winner of a decent event showing a good turn of foot late on to just get up.

She was then disappointing on good ground in the Group Three 1000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown, but bounced back to form next time out when second at Gowran Park.

Last time out she gave a career best performance to land the Irish 1000 Guineas at The Curragh from stablemate Joan Of Arc and with the rain set to fall she looks a huge player once more at a nice price.

A big player in this event is the Ed Walker trained Primo Bacio and with the trainer landing his first Group Two event earlier this season, he is now looking for his first Group One success.

The three year old seemed to need her first two events to get the hang of things, but on her third start dropping down to 6f was a good second at Chelmsford.

Stepped back up in trip at Chelmsford in December she finally got off the mark, taking a Novice Stakes by over two lengths.

Back for her seasonal debut this term she was a bold fourth in the Fred Darling Stakes at Newbury, with the form of that race not looking bad at all.

Primo Bacio gave the race of her life last time out when bolting up at York over a mile in the Listed Fillies' Stakes and if improving from that she is a big player.

The daughter of No Nay Never cost €40,000 and looks a bargain for what she has shown so far, getting off the mark on debut at Newbury on good to soft with the second place winning next time out to frank the form.

The filly also franked that form when a bold second at Salisbury behind Happy Romance in a Group Three, with the two of them outclassing the field.

Alcohol Free now seemed to have felt like the penny had dropped in that event and she improved massively on her final juvenile start to go on and win the Group One Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket.

This season she has been seen twice, picking up from where she left off when winning the 17 runner Group Three Fred Darling Stakes.

Last time out she went after more Group One glory when racing in the 1000 Guineas and she managed to finish a fair fifth.

She will have to reverse the form with Mother Earth, but she can't be dismissed from an each way angle.

The German raider Novemba for trainer Peter Schiergen heads here with some decent form in her home country and it is now interesting to see how good she is.

Having been an average juvenile last term, this season she has turned into a different horse, finishing fourth in a Listed event over a mile on debut.

After that prep run she went into the German 1000 Guinea and under a good front running ride landed the event by close to eight lengths.

She is very much an unknown entity.

The Richard Hannon trained filly was a big eye-catcher on seasonal debut with the daughter of Frankel out of 1000 Guineas winner Sky Lantern, looking to have a huge future.

Having been seen once as a juvenile last term finishing second in a smart event at Ascot, she bounced back for her first run of this season in a strong maiden over a mile and the extra furlong seemed to bring the best out of her.

Second favourite to Derab, who looks to be an exciting half brother to Enable, the filly went away from the boys in final stages to cement her place in the 1000 Guineas betting market.

The quick ground played to her strengths whilst also showing speed and stamina over her first try of a mile.

She was sent to York last time out in a Listed Fillies' Stakes and although running well could only finish third behind Primo Bacio and she will need to reverse that form.

Could be an each way player if settling better.

The Sir Michael Stoute trained Potapova is a fast improving filly that is unbeaten in both her starts to date and we are yet to see where her ceiling is.

The filly was first seen in November when winning well at Chelmsford on debut over seven furlongs by close to seven lengths.

She then backed that up on seasonal debut this term in a Novice Stakes at Redcar when bolting up by eight lengths and it is now time to see just how good she is.

Smart performer.

The filly has been a shining light for the yard racing five times as a juvenile and then twice this season, with the form of her run working out well.

Having finished behind the smart Method at Doncaster and then second behind the Group Two winning Dandalla, the juvenile backed those runs up with two wins at Sandown in Listed company and Deauville in the Group Two Prix du Calvados.

The daughter of Gutaifan was seen one last time as a juvenile in the Group One Prix Marcel Boussac and she finished a good fourth on heavy ground.

This term the three year old has been seen twice, finishing a close up third on debut in the Group One 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.

However, last time out she gave the worst run of her career in horrible ground in the Irish 1000 Guineas and she needs to bounce back here.

Lullaby Moon seems to be making up the numbers in this field off the back of her seasonal debut this term when only beating two home in the Group One French 1000 Guineas.

As a juvenile she was a very likeable type winning four of her six events including the Listed William Hill Two Year Old Trophy at Redcar and a Group Three at Chantilly.

Putting her debut behind her she is a nice type and could bounce back to form in a big way with a good run here.

Flirting Bridge for master national hunt trainer Henry De Bromhead looks to be taking a big chance in Group One company.

Having got off the mark on her third and final start as a juvenile in a Maiden at Dundalk, this season she started at Navan in a Listed event and was a tame mid-field.

She seemed to come on a fair bit for that run when finishing a good second behind Joan Of Arc in the Group Three 1000 Guineas trial.

That form has been franked with Joan Of Arc narrowly losing in the Irish 1000 Guineas, but for Flirting Bridge she needs to improve again.

The final runner of the race is the Jessica Harrington trained Oodnadatta who looks to have it all to do making her seasonal debut in this race.

She raced four times as a juvenile, winning on debut over 7f at Leopardstown but since then was well beaten in a Group Three over the same course and distance.

She bounced back to form in the Group One Moyglare Stakes at The Curragh when third behind Shale and Pretty Gorgeous, but when sent to Keeneland in the Juvenile Fillies' Turf she flopped.

The filly has to reverse a lot of form in this field and may also need the run to get fit.

Opposable.

Shale has been a superb stable star for Donnacha O'Brien so far winning three of her six outings to date and also placing in another.

The filly made her debut in a decent maiden where she ran no race, but came on massively for the first experience to get off the mark at Gowran Park on heavy ground.

She backed that up in a Group Three at Leopardstown before just falling short behind Pretty Gorgeous in a Group Two at the Curragh.

The daughter of Galileo stepped up for the Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes over the same course and distance and reversed the form with the Joseph O'Brien runner to land her first black type event, with the good ground being crucial for her success.

She then headed to Newmarket last time out in the bet365 Fillies' Mile and could only finish sixth with the soft ground not playing to her strengths.

On her seasonal debut she was an average fifth in the 1000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown and having not raced since then she should be fresh for this.

Won't want any rain.
