Group Two Coventry Stakes winner at the 2022 Royal Ascot meeting Bradsell will miss the rest of the season with his trainer Archie Watson explaining he has picked up an injury off the back of his run in the Group One Phoenix Stakes at the weekend.
An emphatic winner at York on Seasonal debut in a Novice Stakes bolting up by nine lengths, he was last seen at Royal Ascot taking the Group Two Coventry Stakes with more in hand at the line.
The form of that race had been massively franked with Persian Force and Blackbeard, who he took on again at the weekend both winning Group Two events and Royal Scotsman in third has also landed a Group Two.
However, it could not have gone much more wrong for Bradsell who stumbled out of the stalls on his hat-trick bid and picking up an injury in running only beating one home and will now not feature again this season.
(Credit Racing Post) His trainer Archie Watson said: "Bradsell unfortunately sustained a season-ending injury in the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday.
"I would like to thank the team at Sycamore Lodge Equine Hospital for their excellent veterinary care and attention.
"I am naturally very disappointed for Victorious Racing and all the team at Saxon Gate but we look forward to having him back on the racecourse in 2023."
