A red-hot Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint kicks off the evening action. Huge interest will be on the European runners, but Japanese-trained Ecoro Sieg boasts the speed to put this contest to bed quickly.

The Hideyuki Mori-trained runner has been smashing records in his home country, setting speed records in both runs under rules. His latest success saw him finishing two lengths clear of Mozu Nana Star.

Hard to see how that form looks on paper, but visually, the two-year-old has looked like a rocket on track and could be away and gone over five furlongs before the Europeans can think about making their efforts.

Immersive sets a high standard in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies over an extended mile. However, re-appearing rival Quickick could be on better terms to reverse the form.

The two-year-old stayed on incredibly strongly in the G1 Darley Alcibiades last month behind Immersive, and was closing the gap with every stride.

Unfortunately, she was just a little too far back to truly test the eventual winner on that day. A prominent draw means that she will be closer to the pace, which only aids her chances this week, and she is slightly overlooked in the betting for the Thomas Amoss yard.

Thought Process is the horse that is massively overlooked in the betting for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. Aidan O'Brien's record in the race hasn't been perfect, meaning Lake Victoria could be overlooked in search of value.

Thought Process has done nothing wrong on track to this point, and has been the dominant force on California turf. She is a two-time winner over course and distance, including when beating Supa Speed by two lengths at the start of September.

She followed up that run with an equally as impressive display over a mile at Santa Anita, landing the G3 Surfer Girl Stakes by four lengths from Casalu. American-trained runners have won nine of the last ten editions.

An interesting edition of the Breeders' Cup Juvenile features a talented line-up, including East Avenue, Gaming, and Jonathan's Way. However, Chancer McPatrick looks to be the play for a Chad Brown team that previously won the race with Good Magic in 2017.

The two-year-old has very little to find on RPPs, and has progressed with each run under rules. He was last seen coming from off the pace to win the G1 Champagne Stakes, which has thrown up high-quality winners in recent years such as Jackie's Warrior and Tiz The Law.

Chancer McPatrick is already a two-time stakes winner, showcasing his speed earlier in the year when landing the G1 Hopeful, beating reappearing rival Ferocious by half a length.

A thrilling G1 Summer Stakes at Woodbine saw New Century reverse the form with Al Qudra, but the form could once again be reversed at Del Mar on Friday.

Charlie Appleby's runner will be the ride of James Doyle, and he will be expected to fend off the surging rival if the two were to lock horns once again in the final stride. Godolphin were disappointed that the two-year-old lost in Canada, but he already has a notable form advantage over New Century after beating the current favourite in the Pat Eddery Stakes at Ascot in July.

It could be argued that Al Qudra needed the run after a break, and the race at Woodbine could have been perfectly used to set him up for this bigger target at Del Mar.
