The clash of the year is upon us with the unbeaten as a three year old Love is set to take on the queen of racing Enable in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at ParisLongchamp in October.
Enabe has been seen as the shining light in British flat racing ver the last four seasons, having gone off favourite for every race bar her Oaks triumph in 2017, but now she faces a different obstacle with Love who is currently the market leader for the Group One showdown in France.
Love looked a smart juvenile when finishing third on her final two year old start in the Group One bet365 Fillies Mile, but this season she has transformed into a world beater.
She made her seasonal debut in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and beat a superb field of runners by over four lengths.
From there O'Brien decided to step her up in trip for the Epsom Oaks and she revelled in the extra distance, beating a sound field by a devastating 9 lengths.
The Yorkshire Oaks was another formality for the daughter of Galileo seeing off another strong field with ease, making every yard under Ryan Moore.
With everything she has shown this term and getting the 7lb allowance off Enable, Dettori knows the challenge him and Enable faces and has explained why Love is the right favourite.
(Credit Racing Post) He said: "While in France I managed to watch most of York on my iPad and there’s no doubt we saw some amazing performances.
"Love has now won the Guineas by four [and a quarter] lengths, the Oaks by nine and the Yorkshire Oaks by five, she’s a three-year-old who gets all the allowances and you’d have to say she’s now entitled to her place at the top of the betting for the Arc.
"It'll be an amazing contest and it’s without a doubt the best race that we’ve got in Europe, and to win it you’ve got to be the very best."
