Frankie Dettori has picked up the ride on Method in the Group One Middle Park Stakes on Saturday which sees him team up with trainer Martyn Meade again having landed some superb winners together over the years.
The son of Mehmas has made a really exciting start to life on a racecourse winning in good fashion at Doncaster on debut and that form since has been franked having beat Group 2 Prix du Calvados winner Fev Rover by four and a quarter lengths that day.
Off the back of that win he headed to Newbury in the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes and again showed a very taking performance to land the contest.
Connections hold him in very high regard and it is nice to see Martyn Meade have another potential superstar after having multiple Group One winner Advertise for the last few years.
His owners, after his Listed win decided to swerve both the Group One Prix Morny and the Richmond Stakes at Goodwood and now he is primed for this event on Saturday.
With him being unbeaten on both his outings to date, he is currently a 7/2 shot to take this race stepping up in class and with Frankie taking the ride he can not be ruled out.
Meade said: "Frankie will ride Method and he's looking forward to the ride. As it's a Group 1 race we thought we'd go for a Group 1 jockey, and we've enjoyed much success together in the past. Method will go there fresher than most as he's not run since July."
In the last few years Meade and Dettori have landed three Group One races together with the superstar Advertise, most notably in last year's Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.
Ahead of Method's run Meade is in high spirits and believes this two year old has plenty of scope to improve and run a big race in this sort of company.
Meade added: "I don't know how good the form is as it was only a Listed race but he couldn't win it any easier than he did."
