Ben Pauling sends Jig's Forge to Doncaster on Saturday, and the six-year-old should be thereabouts after making a winning return to action following a 227-day break at Ffos Las at the end of November.

That was an excellent debut under rules, as he finished six lengths clear of Blue Las.

Was a point winner before joining the Pauling yard, and the trainer has won this in 2019 and 2021.

Forward Plan is the runner from the Anthony Honeyball yard in the 15:15 at Doncaster on Saturday.

The nine-year-old has won four from 12 starts over fences, and posted a fine effort over course and distance when finishing third behind Charlie Uberalies.

Went very close in this race last year, and is likely to give yet another bold account based on his recent efforts already this season.
