Doncaster officials have abandoned the rest of Friday’s races due to an injury sustained by Jouer Bresilien in the 2m3f novice handicap hurdle.
There were still two races to be ran when they made the decision to abandon the rest of the day’s action.
Clerk of the course Roderick Duncan told the Racing Post: "No one wants to see horses slipping like that. It's continued to dry through the day and the consensus was it wasn't safe. The chase course is less problematic, but we decided we'd rather take the time to do what we need to do ahead of racing tomorrow."
"We believe we'll be able to water and aerate to make sure we are racing tomorrow."
There are currently no plans to inspect the course ahead of Saturday’s ation, which they expect to take place as usual.
