Harry Cobden and Paul Nicholls did it again on Thursday by landing the Grade 2 Wayward Lad Novices Chase with Dynamite Dollars.
The recent Grade 1 winner was pressed all the way round by the 4/6 race favourite Kalashnikov but even off top weight he was far to good for the Amy Murphy trained runner and took the glory.
The race started as you would expect with Kalshnikov always playing catch up but when it came to the back end of the race there was only two horses left fighting it out with the other three dropping out.
They went round the bend for home with four fences still to jump and with each fence Dynamite Dollars got stronger and stronger and there was no catching him.
This was seen as Kalashnikov's first big test over fences and he did not stand up to looking out of sorts slightly and even though he didn't lose by a lot it was not the performance of an odds on favourite.
This has now changed the betting for the Arkle with the Amy Murphy trained runner before the off a clear favourite for the Grade 1 contest at the Cheltenham Festival but now second favourite going from 11/4 to 6/1.
Winner of the Grade 2 has gone from 14/1 into 7/1 but now the market leader has gone to the Kayley Woollacott runner Lalor who has been nudged into 5/1.
