Emma Spencer's 66/1 Derby And Oaks Double

In the oaks I think the favourite is far too short, whilst she ran a promising race in the Guineas she is not totally certain to stay on pedigree and that has made me look elsewhere

Snowfall would be the more appealing one from the yard for me, she was very impressive at York and should stay this extra 2f.

That was a massive step up form wise on anything she has done before and she could be better again in the Oaks over further still.

From an each way perspective, Saffron Beach is a horse I tipped for the Guineas and I think she will stay 10f for sure but there’s a doubt about 12.

She had the right temperament and I’d love to see her win for Jane chapple- Hyam, and if getting that extra trip could be a player for the places.

In the Epsom Derby I like Third Realm each way, who looks to be a big improver for Roger Varian and heads into the meeting seeking a hat-trick of wins.

He won at Nottingham then followed up in the Lingfield Derby Trial in a good time, a race which has produced winners of the race in the past, the latest in 2019.

He had no problem with the track, he’s well balanced, he will stay and I think he’s sure to run well in an open race.

Obviously there will be a strong Irish challenge, but there is no value to be had there and I’d look beyond them with Third Realm at 16/1.
