Vaguely Royal was a winner on his second start over hurdles, readily moving clear of Tuxedo Junction to win by three lengths at Wincanton in late October.

The six-year-old had a strong record over hurdles, winning twice from ten starts, including a success over three miles and a furlong.

Made a decent start to chasing last month, finishing best of most to take fifth behind Dream Boy over an extended two miles and five.

Up in trip for his second start over fences, and the extra distance should suit his chances at Exeter today. Likely to go very close for an in-form team.
