Fontwell host a decent card on Monday afternoon and there has been some big money come for one of the horses in the Class 5 Cazoo Handicap Hurdle.
The horse in question is Exmoor Express, representing trainer Victor Dartnall, who has undergone a massive gamble in the 15:00 race, seeing his earlier price of 7/1 be cut into as short as 5/2 ahead of his run.
A winner of a Chepstow bumper in April upon good ground, Exmoor Express has since shown plenty promise across his four opening runs over hurdles without quite managing to hit the frame.
He looks to have ran into some decent types last time out on handicap debut at Warwick and given he was giving his running upon much lesser suited soft ground, his 4th placed finish reads pretty well.
He is well worth another shot at proving better than his opening mark of 104, especially now taking a drop in grade and returning to better conditions.
