On Thursday evening Chelmsford host a decent card on the all weather and it sees trainer Mario Hofer bring one horse over from Germany to try and land a Class 4 Handicap.
During his career as a trainer, Hofer has brought over 26 horses to Britain, travelling a fair distance and of those runners four have gone on to win.
This means that the German trainer runs at 15% win rate with his horses travelling this distance and with just the one runner today it is definitely a horse to keep on side.
The 9/2 shot will take on four other runners in the six furlong event and having raced once over course and distance before and winning, he looks to have a big chance.
Back in February he landed a Class 3 handicap at Chelmsford off a 7lb higher mark and now he heads here having won a selling event in Germany which gives him no excuse not to build on that.
One to watch.
