Paul Nicholls always seems to have a bright youngster in similar contests to this, year in year out and on Saturday he could field up to three of them but the one we like is Tamaroc Du Mathan.
This four year old gelding has not been involved in the racing scene that long and is very unexposed but on his two starts has shown plenty of ability to warrant thinking he could be a very smart horse.
In April of last season he raced over in France at Angers in a small fielded event where he went on to assert his dominance in the race with ease.
He was then bought and given to Paul Nicholls moving over to England and on his British debut he finished a smart second behind Master Debonair at Ascot over two miles in an Introductory Hurdle.
Over the same course and distance he should give another bold showing being sure to learn a lot from his first hurdles outing in England and at 10/1 looks a huge price that will be sure to shorten before the contest.
